FCO is a team of 2,000 operations professionals leading the Group’s approach to managing Anti-Money Laundering, Counter Terrorism Financing (AML/CTF) and Sanctions risks and obligations through operational services across the customer lifecycle. This includes Onboarding and KYC, Enhanced Customer Due Diligence (ECDD), Ongoing Due Diligence including Transaction Monitoring (TM), Customer and Payment Screening, and periodic KYC Refresh.

Please note: this opportunity is for a 12 Month Max Term Arrangement or Secondment for our internal team members.

Your Role.

As Senior Manager AML Reforms, you will lead efforts to ensure FCO is fully compliant with new financial crime reforms coming into effect in March 2026. This role is pivotal in translating regulatory requirements into actionable steps and overseeing their successful implementation across FCO teams and processes.

You will also interpret reform requirements and translate them into operational changes by collaborating with FCO and FCC stakeholders and teams to scope impacts, design solutions, and oversee implementation and compliance with policy and regulatory requirements.

Although this role does not involve direct people leadership, it is a critical position that will enable Financial Crime Operations to implement upcoming reforms. You will guide teams to follow the correct pathways to compliance and provide challenge where necessary through review and oversight

You will:

  • Drive the implementation plan for reforms across FCO, ensuring readiness and compliance.
  • Coordinate with operational teams to embed new processes, including KYC data collection, investigations, and other impacted workflows.
  • Provide oversight and governance to confirm reforms are implemented correctly and meet regulatory standards.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on regulatory and policy requirements and ensure changes to FCO processes are practical and effective.
  • Establish compliance checkpoints and conduct assurance reviews to confirm requirements are met.
  • Engage stakeholders to prioritise and resolve issues quickly, ensuring timely delivery.
  • Report progress, escalate risks, and maintain governance through appropriate forums and reporting to the FCO leadership team and respective stakeholders

We’re interested in hearing from people who have:

  • Deep understanding of Financial Crime Operations or Compliance processes
  • Proven ability analyse, interpret and deliver complex regulatory or compliance changes in large-scale environments.
  • Strong knowledge of financial crime obligations and reform requirements.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and influencing skills.
  • Self-driven approach with the ability to work independently and provide quick direction.
  • Strong decision-making and critical thinking skills.

From here, the opportunities are endless
