Our Sales and Account Management Division is excited to welcome an Account Implementation Coordinator to join the team!  This role is responsible for ensuring timely and accurate benefit plan implementations. 

The Account Implementation Coordinator acts as the primary expert for:

  • developing responses to RFPs
  • evaluating and leading complex benefit plan implementations
  • managing large account transitions
  • collaborating with operational leadership to establish quality and standards 

We are looking for someone who demonstrates:

  • strong analytical judgment
  • exceptional communication and relationship-building skills
  • organizational expertise
  • ability to interpret complex benefit provisions while effectively managing broker partnerships through strategic analysis, presentation, and negotiation
  • expertise in brokerage, consulting, or benefits management

Job Responsibilities

  • Serves as subject matter expert in completion of RFP questions on implementation as well as finalist/capabilities presentation.
  • Assess the complexity of group account benefit plan implementations, conversions and/or significant renewal plan changes and lead an implementation team in designing an implementation plan and prioritizing timelines and commitments.
  • Manage large account implementations and maintain responsibility for prioritizing customer deliverables when urgencies or conflicts arise.
  • Consult with BCBST operational management to develop turnaround time and quality standards related to large account implementations.

Job Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Public Relations, Marketing/ Advertising, or related field

Experience

  • 5 years - Experience in the health care industry

License

  • Active Tennessee Insurance Producer License, or must be obtained within 1 year after hire.

  • Analytical and decision making abilities.

  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Ability to establish and maintain a high level of customer trust and confidence
  • Ability to interpret and apply contract provisions and benefit language
  • Proven ability to manage broker relationships through needs assessment, benefit and rate analysis, product presentation, and negotiation
