How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?
The primary function of the Product Analyst is to support the execution of the Airgas product line strategy, focusing on growth, profitability, product sourcing, and supply chain management. This role is highly collaborative and requires the ability to influence stakeholders while providing valuable insights and analysis.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Market Intelligence & Forecasting:
Market Study preparation and synthesis
Future growth scenario modelling
Supply/Demand and landed cost competitiveness scenarios
Support CPR note preparation
Market Playbook Development
Financial Analysis & Reporting:
P&L Evaluation: Track and analyze the Profit and Loss (P&L) statements for the Product Lines, concentrating on sales performance by region and mode of supply.
Cost analysis and recommendations
Cost Recovery Analysis: Conduct analysis to ensure effective cost recovery and monitor efficiency metrics.
Monthly and Quarterly Volume analysis and reconciliation
Support ad-hoc exception pricing simulations
Energy surcharge recovery analysis
Exceptional cost measurement (eg FM)
Customer Engagement & Support
Sales Meetings and Site Visits: Assist regional teams in customer sales meetings, site visits, and other engagement initiatives to strengthen customer relationships.
Long-term Market Data Support: Provide long-term market information and data to support informed decision-making processes.
3rd party sourcing administration
Contract administration, SAP approvals, ToP tracking
Monthly billing and provisions
Cascading of notices (eg FM / Surcharge)
Price change internal management (on buy and sell-sides)
Price change notifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Required Education:
Bachelor's degree required
Required Length & Type of Experience:
2-5 years in industrial gases sales, sales management, product management operations; experience with product lines and/or industrial gases product management preferred
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Strong knowledge of industrial gases, plant and supply chain economics, liquid bulk supply, packaged gases, and/or cylinder operations
Strong analytical and quantitative skills – proficient with Excel/Google Sheets; SAP/Power BI/Business Warehouse a plus
Demonstrated ability to lead, set strategy, take initiative and execute
Ability to influence and lead without direct line authority
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Extensive knowledge of the value drivers for the product and overall impact of the business
Must be willing to travel 20% (overnight travel required).
