About the Role:

The Channel Marketing Manager supports our global sales team in the Marketing, Brand and Communications (MBC) organization at Gen. They will be responsible for developing and executing strategic marketing programs that build brand awareness, increase market share and drive growth through our channel partners.  This individual will work closely with our sales account team to achieve revenue targets by managing marketing initiatives within allocated budgets and deadlines. Our ideal candidate must have prior experience building strategies and marketing programs for various partnership industries like Retail, Telecommunications and Financial Services.

This is role is based at our U.S. headquarters in Tempe, AZ. The person in this role is required to be in the office multiple days a week.

Responsibilities:

  • Ability to be the primary marketing contact for identified channel partners (Retail, Service Provider, Insurance and Financial Services industries) and collaborate with internal and external resources to meet sales objectives.
  • Own quarterly promotion schedule, campaign materials, and marketing budgets.
  • Proactively seek and develop new opportunities and create innovative marketing programs to help differentiate from competitors, with the goal of increasing market share and maintaining a positive ROI. 
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activities to optimize marketing strategies while measuring and reporting on the effectiveness of curated marketing programs.
  • Collaborate with internal marketers and external agencies to generate customized partner assets, collateral, including presentations, training materials, emails, brochures, etc.
  • Conduct quarterly business reviews with account team and internal and external leadership.
  • Report on campaign performance with granular tracking across relevant KPIs; share updates on success metrics, opportunities, and roadblocks.
  • Ability to analyze and optimize campaign performance, reallocating budget based on ROI and insights generated.
  • Create and approve in store POP/planograms (for Retail partners) with customer messaging, customized SKUs and product bundles.

Required Knowledge and Skills

  • Experience in creating marketing programs to drive revenue for large Retail partners.
  • Extensive knowledge of channel programs, forecasting, project tracking and ROI management required.
  • Proven experience in ensuring sales teams achieve quota through targeted marketing programs.
  • Ability to prepare and present presentations to external and internal leadership.
  • Experience in owning and managing multi-million-dollar marketing budgets
  • Excellent written and verbal skills.

Qualifications:

  • 10 + years in channel marketing or closely related area.
  • BS/BA in Business, Marketing or related area.
  • Be perceived as a leader and account owner.
  • Ability to multi-task and meet changing deadlines.
  • Business acumen and strong skill in interpreting data and campaign performance.
  • Travel as needed to support partner activities.
