Overview:

2020 Companies has partnered with the world’s largest retailer to hire a passionate, energy-savvy enthusiast as a dedicated Sales Enablement Manager within Reliant Energy retail sales channel. This role will be responsible for supporting the assigned dedicated retail sales and events teams through our internal and external Senior Leaders across Texas. The Sales Enablement Manager will work very closely with Senior Leadership primarily to identify opportunities to develop staff and drive sales, and supporting training events, business functions, training videos, and internal training webinars while also uncovering additional opportunities through business partnerships with account teams, joining team calls, and visiting stores in the field. 

Your Role as a Sales Enablement Manager with the Reliant Retail Sale Program is to: 

  • Travel to and facilitate training events, leadership training, new hire training, and market/store visits with local leadership. 
  • Create more opportunities for selling in-house solutions by building relationships with partners to learn customers’ needs and managing partners by region (via training, events, etc.). 
  • Collaborate with all stakeholders to tailor training to best fit the team's needs. 
  • Manage the creation and implementation of a variety of different training methods including hands-on, blended, digital, technical, and train-the-trainer. 
  • Identify opportunities for improvement or areas of excellence within Market/Districts/Regions; report findings to senior leadership. 
  • Effectively train on how to create an exciting experience for consumers. 
  • Innovate new and fun ways to engage the team in training and development activities. 
  • Build strong relationships with business partners, account teams, internal management, etc. 
  • Effectively design/implement training materials to enhance the overall learning experience. 
  • Utilize learning to help reduce attrition. 
  • Help our teams achieve their sales goals.

Job Description:

  • Create and deliver executive-level PowerPoint presentations on NRG Reliant program success, opportunities, and sales enablement initiatives

  • Provide strategic direction for the field of the NRG application to drive efficiencies in field execution

  • Responsible for the training and development of new and current employees

  • Effectively develop training for multiple departments as well as new tools/programs to accelerate the learning curve

  • Accurately present compliance-related new hire orientation materials and appropriate mentoring programs

  • Conduct pre-training conference calls with class attendees to discuss training expectations and travel guidelines

  • Efficiently manage post-training activities including grading assessments, shipping signed compliance documents to HR, and communicating final training attendance roster to appropriate departments

  • Conduct in-field observations to identify opportunities of improvement or areas of excellence; report findings to Training Manager and Sales Supervisor/Manager as appropriate

  • Perform all other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree plus an additional 5 years of relevant experience required

  • 4+ years experience in retail communications, scheduling, training, system support with the ability to demonstrate knowledge of best practices, methodologies, and technologies in each of these areas

  • Experience in executing change management initiatives with established approaches

  • Experience working with third party accounts and corporate operations teams

  • Strength in working cross functionally, harnessing a collaborative team environment and being able to lead project work within a large dynamic team and drive end to end planning

  • Adaptability to move at the pace of retail and work in a constantly evolving environment, making decisive decisions when needed

  • High proficiency in Power Point, Word, Excel and FB Workplace

  • Outstanding written and communications skills, time management, and organization skill

  • Ability to drive and improve business cadence (planning, scheduling, communication), setting and improving processes, monitoring execution and driving accountability and visibility of progress against goals and objectives

Physical/Mental Demands and Working Conditions:

The position requires the ability to perform the essential duties and responsibilities in the following environment:

  • Work is generally performed in an retail environment

  • The movement and transportation of equipment, most of the time under 25 pounds

  • Performs work under time schedules and stresses which are normally periodic or cyclical, including time sensitive job stress, fatigue, unpaid over-time, intellectual challenge, constant technical data feedback, language barriers, and business management stress

  • Frequently works additional hours beyond normal schedule

  • Ability to work with minimal direct supervision with a high level of responsibility to apply general policies and guidelines where decisions are seldom monitored, and consequences of decisions adversely affect operating results and management decisions

  • Travel: Willingness and ability to travel extensively, approximately 80% of the time

  • Schedule: Availability to work a Tuesday to Saturday based on Business Needs
