Job Description Summary

As a Technical Team Lead in Configuration Management Services, you will lead a team of engineers and contractors to define New Unit Commissioning Spares (NU Comm Spares) and New Unit Operational Spares (NUS) across all Heavy-Duty technologies (including Material Shipped Directly). The New Unit Commissioning Spares enables the Commissioning phase of the new units by proactively providing items which may be used during this phase. New Unit Operational Spares help the Customers build up inventory of their new unit to support the operation after commissioning. Your team’s work ensures timely, high-quality spare parts definition that enables on-time ordering and delivery for our customers. You will also drive continuous improvement and establish robust Standard Work.

Job Description

  • Serve as the subject-matter expert for NU Comm Spares and NUS definition across Heavy-Duty technologies.

  • Lead and develop a team of configuration management engineers and contractors:

    • Manage daily operations, prioritize workload, and ensure resource balancing.

    • Own team KPIs (key performance indicators) and metrics.

    • Act as the single point of contact for inquiries related to NU Comm Spares and NUS definition process within Configuration Management Services.

  • Oversee request intake and validation to ensure high-quality and timely outputs.

  • Manage and execute quality peer reviews of team deliverables.

  • Create, maintain, and continuously improve Standard Work and team knowledge assets.

  • Partner with the Technical Leaders to develop the Configuration Management Services strategy and apply it to the NU Spares team

  • Partner with NUS Project Managers, NU Commissioning, Design Engineering, Sourcing, Manufacturing, and other functions to meet business demand with quality and speed.
