The IT Business Systems Support – Loans team provides business and technical support across numerous lending solutions.  These solutions include loan origination, loan servicing, and document/report imaging systems alongside ancillary support tools.  Within the lending space, the team interacts with internal business and technical partners as well as third party vendors to evaluate requirements and find solutions to existing and future needs.  The team also acts as a liaison between lines of business and data teams to support lending reporting needs.

As the Business Systems Analyst Team Lead, you will serve as the lead business analyst expert across multiple applications supporting multiple business units.  You will also coordinate with Business Systems Analysts to ensure projects and support activities are completed timely and accurately.  In addition to the coordination of team members, you will partner with business unit stakeholders and technical staff to identify business systems solutions for changes to business processes, policies, and information systems.  This is a subset of the overall responsibilities which will include multiple initiatives as assigned by IT leadership. 

This role is hybrid (Mon through Thu on-site / Fri remote) at the UMB Technology & Operations Center located in downtown Kansas City, MO.

How you’ll spend your time:

  • Document business requirements and partner with technical services groups (internal MIS and/or external vendors) to design technical solutions to meet the business requirements.
  • Configure application-enabled business systems.
  • Construct test cases, develop test scripts and facilitate appropriate testing (unit, integration, system, QA, UAT) as well as validate production implementations.
  • Maintain accurate system and System Development Lifecycle documentation.
  • Serve as a project manager for initiatives, identifying tasks, preparation of estimates, and development of work plans.
  • Orchestrate and manage tasks for BAU and provide project oversight for designated individuals including mentoring and training.
  • Organize and oversee team testing methodology for test scripts and appropriate full-cycle testing (unit, integration, system, and QA).
  • Lead collaboration with business units to establish priorities for resolution of multiple system problems and issues.
  • Lead UMB Business and Technology Strategies to evaluate technology opportunities to enhance operations.
  • Serve as the system liaison between UMB users of business application systems and the technical services group (internal MIS and/or external vendors) responsible for support.

We’re excited to talk if you have:

  • At least 7 years of Business Systems Analysis experience.
  • Leadership skills and the ability to guild consensus across departments regarding complex solutions and/or issue resolution.
  • Clear oral, written, interpersonal & presentation communication skills, expressing complex technical concepts in business terms.
  • Ability to identify, develop and initiate innovations and solutions where precedents may not exist.
  • Successfully worked on cross-functional project teams to solve problems and implement changes.

Bonus Points if you have:

  • Demonstrated strategic viewpoint, with a clear understanding of the Bank’s goals and objectives.
  • Knowledge of application and database development concepts.
  • Thorough understanding of best practice business requirements and testing methodologies.
  • Working knowledge of the Project Management Life Cycle and ability to apply project management methodology to medium scale projects.

Compensation Range:

$83,200.00 - $178,800.00
