JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for coordinating and executing the field based pipeline Damage Prevention Program. Perform in the One Call/Line Locating and Aerial Patrol Programs. Respond to calls as expected during scheduled on-call rotation. Provide area Emergency Response support in applicable Incident Command structures.Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Coordinate and perform Damage Prevention and Public Education activities as prescribed in System Integrity Plan (SIP) Elements:
Safely and effectively perform damage prevention and public education tasks and procedures, while professionally and positively representing the Company to the community and other stakeholder groups.
Ensure One Calls, line locates, and Aerial Patrol activities are performed and/or completed in specified timeframes.
Proactively work with One Call group to improve performance measures in mapping, county notes, and field cleared tickets.
Respond to after-hour calls as expected during scheduled on-call rotation.
Address basic real estate/right of way issues and encroachments by proactively working with Company Real Estate representatives and Tulsa subject matter experts.
Research, and stay current in, industry Damage Prevention and Common Ground Alliance best practices and regularly report findings for incorporation into Company standards and procedures for process improvement.
Participate in developing and describing steps required to safely complete an effective Job Plan.
Compliance - records - documentation - audits:
Assist in maintaining inspections, licensing and maintenance of vehicles and equipment in the Vehicle and Driver training programs.
Maintain all documentation, permits, and other work records in an organized manner for the required retention time.
Participate on the facility emergency response team, providing support in applicable Incident Command structures.
Comply with company policies and procedures, including System Integrity Plan (SIP) and OQ requirements and implement them into location work practices.
Attend and actively participate in safety training meetings.
Assist Operations with general maintenance duties, including line pigging, as directed by the supervisor.
Education
H.S. Diploma required
A college degree or two year degree from an accredited vocational/technical school preferred
Work Experience
At least three years related work experience preferred
A working knowledge of refined and crude product characteristics
Experience in pipeline construction preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to: communicate effectively orally and in writing in English
Ability to: communicate effectively with supervisors, co-workers, internal and external customers
Ability to: work in stressful and changing environmental conditions (conditions as noted above)
Ability to: work under time pressure, tight deadlines and interruptions
Ability to: use a personal computer with the Windows® operating system to complete time sheets, send and receive e-mail, and access information posted on the Company’s intranet
Ability to: operate a multi-line phone system.
Ability to: follow instructions or standard procedures
Ability to: compile and/or examine information and select the best action from defined alternatives
Ability to: deal with complex issues which require substantial analysis or independent judgment
Licenses and Certifications
DOT Operator Qualified in applicable tasks required
