Impact Oral Surgery is hiring an experienced Oral Surgeon Assistant to assist in oral surgical procedures to ensure the highest quality of care is provided. The assistant will also help with clinical and technical procedures under the direct supervision of a licensed surgeon or dentist. Prepare operatory, instruments and equipment for treatment. Seat, drape, and prepare patients for surgical procedures. Provide clear post-op instructions to parent, patient, or escort.

In summary, the goal is to serve and provide superior support to dentists and to be an example of respect and caring for our customers and office personnel.

Job Duties:

  • Prepares all treatment rooms in advance for each patient.

  • Changes all chemical solutions, i.e., disinfectant soaks and sprays, sterilants, ultrasonic, presoak.

  • Handles hazardous chemicals in a safe manner.

  • Seats patients in designated treatment rooms in a timely fashion.

  • Reviews medical history, progress from the previous visit, if applicable, and the scheduled treatment plan with each patient.

  • Take x-rays prescribed by the provider.

  • Assists the doctor in all oral surgery procedures by passing instruments, aspirating intra-oral fluids, mixing materials.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Licensed as a Registered Dental Assistant or a Certified Dental Assistant in state working

  • DAANCE Certified (Preferred) - Must obtain this certification within one year of employment.

  • CPR Required.

  • Trained by an Accredited Dental Assistant School preferred.

  • 2+ years Assisting in Oral Surgery is a plus.
