The Digital Modernization Sector at Leidos has an opening for a Program Manager for the USPTO to lead a program to establish and manage their storage as a service (STaaS).
Primary Responsibilities
Act as the Contractor’s point of contact responsible for overall program performance
Manage the entire program across scope, schedule, resources, risk, along with similar and related task and functions, and monitoring the on-going execution of these areas
Ensure contract requirements, deliverables, and service levels are met
Keep the CO and COR updated on all aspects of the contract and communicate any contract issues
Ensure projects are executed on-time, within budget, and remain within scope
Create a work breakdown structure (WBS) defining all activities and develop schedules to monitor and track dependencies, milestones, and deliverable
Provide strong, proactive, and assertive leadership while engaging multi-discipline teams and responding to business needs
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and 12+ years of experience or a master’s degree and 10+ years of experience.
U.S. Citizen
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
Experience managing STaaS projects and/or using NetApp ONTAP NAS devices
Experience managing storage infrastructure programs up to 10 PB or more
Minimum of 5 years’ experience managing federal IT storage programs
Excellent program and project management skills
Excellent communication skills
Knowledge of storage and IT technologies such as storage arrays, storage area network (SAN) fabric, backup and recovery processes, block storage, network attached storage (NAS), Continuity of Operations (COOP), Disaster Recovery (DR), data security, and governance.
Preferred Qualifications
Hitachi virtual storage platform, and Hitachi enterprise SAN solutions
Experience with Agile best practices and scheduling
Experience with financial systems and managing program budgets
Proven ability to build and maintain lasting customer relationships, external stakeholder networks, and teaming partnerships
Experience with managing a quality assurance program which includes tracking and reporting the contract SLAs
Experience coordinating communication and information during service impacting outages, including notification to the key program stakeholders.
Experience providing monthly program briefs to senior leadership regarding activities during reporting period, by task, problems and corrective actions taken, program and project schedules including major tasks and projects, milestones, and deliverables; planned and actual start and completion dates for each
Experience with monthly resource driven cost accountability including chargeback strategies that applies the costs of IT services, hardware or software to the business unit in which they are used, and showback reporting to provide departmental visibility into IT resource usage without charging departments for their use
