Position Overview

This role is responsible for identifying, assessing, and deliver automation opportunities using low-code / no-code automation tools. This individual works with the Emerging Technologies team and internal stakeholders to identify and deliver automation to promote a more digital internal culture. This individual is a subject matter expert for Emerging Technologies on key projects, issue resolution and processes within Fidelity Investment Canada. This incumbent also represents Emerging Technologies in various working groups both at Fidelity Investment and Fidelity International.

What You Will Do

This individual is responsible for identifying, analyzing, developing, and delivering automated processes by promoting the use of the Power Automate platform:

  • Lead the development, testing, and lifecycle management of automated processes that leverage Microsoft Power Automate and AI Builder.
  • Identify and evaluate new opportunities for the adoption of automation and AI/ML technologies.
  • Build relationships with core business line leaders to develop a deep understanding of core business platforms and work collaboratively to integrate new automation and AI/ML offerings.

Who We’re Looking For

  • Completed Post-Secondary Education in Computer Science, Engineering or Business
  • 2+ years’ experience of technology and design experience within an Agile environment
  • Digital technology, relationship management and market research
  • UX/UI design experience, project management, software development is an asset

The Skills Set You bring

  • Experience programming with a language such as Python, Java, Go, C, or developing applications with low-code/no-code platforms.
    • Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning/RPA o SaaS and cloud-based solutions
  • Product Development
    • Knowledge of rapid prototyping techniques, agile product development, and other product management practices
    • Experience in persona development, product positioning, and requirements creation
    • Comfortable dealing with ambiguity while understanding potential risks and threats
    • Ability to work in a highly entrepreneurial, fast paced environment
  • Sourcing and evaluating new opportunities: o Proven ability to identify new product opportunities o Research and analytical skills to evaluate and compare opportunities o Wide area of interest to synthesize ideas across industries and channels
  • Relationship and Influence:
    • Proven experience working in a complex environment where relationship building is critical
    • Proactively seeks the views of others before making decisions that are in the best interest of the business
