About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Control Management Specialist


In this role, you will:

  • Participate in identifying, assessing, managing, and mitigating current and emerging risk exposures within Control Management functional area

  • Provide risk management consulting to support the business in designing and implementing risk mitigation strategies, business processes, and business controls

  • Monitor moderately complex business specific programs and provide risk management consulting to support the business in designing and implementing risk mitigation strategies

  • Monitor, measure, evaluate, and report on the impact of decisions and controls to the relevant business group or functional area

  • Provide guidance to business groups on the development, implementation, and monitoring of business specific programs to identify, assess, and mitigate risk

  • Collaborate with relevant business group to identify current and emerging risks associated with business activities and operations


Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of Risk Management or Control Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of RCSA methodology, risk taxonomy, and control evaluation frameworks.
  • Fundamental idea or hands-on (preferred) experience in Issues and ORE management
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements (e.g., SOX, Basel, OCC guidelines).
  • Excellent understanding of CIB & Global Markets business,
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to synthesize data from multiple sources, perform root cause analysis, and develop actionable insights.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to lead complex projects, influence senior stakeholders, and manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment.

Job Expectations:

  • Lead RCSA end to end independently with strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills.
  • Drive end to end issue management and close all toll gates by engaging all required parties.
  • Key responsibility of OREs in ensuring all OREs are driven end to end.
  • Multiple control executions.
  • Disposition Business environment changes related triggers by analyzing, interpreting and taking the right action for closures.
  • RCSA maintenance related activities daily.

    Key for this role - Minimum 4+ years of experience in Risk and controls First line of defense with hands on deck on RCSA, Issue mgmt., ORE, Gov & Reporting supporting Global Markets business. Strong business acumen & understanding of all asset classes across Markets and related products.
