The Technical Consultant role is a core position at Murex and an excellent opportunity for engineers with 0–3 years of technical experience to start and grow their career in a global fintech environment.

Technical Consultants play a critical role in supporting Murex solutions used by leading financial institutions worldwide. Based in Ho Chi Minh City, you will be fully integrated into Murex’s global teams and support complex production environments while collaborating closely with internal teams and client stakeholders.

With structured onboarding, continuous learning, and mentorship, you will gain hands‑on experience in production support, technical problem‑solving, and system analysis, while progressively building strong expertise in a fast‑evolving technology landscape.

This role is ideal for junior engineers who enjoy problem‑solving, structured thinking, and understanding how complex platforms operate in real‑world conditions.

Note: This is not a pure coding role. While scripting, configuration, and code analysis are important, the primary focus is on understanding systems, diagnosing issues, supporting production environments, and ensuring service reliability.
It is well suited for engineers who want to work close to real production systems and build strong foundations in operations, architecture, and troubleshooting.

Your Team

You will join Murex’s Technical Consulting / Production teams, responsible for the stability, performance, and reliability of the Murex platform across client and internal environments.

Working closely with Functional Consultants, Developers, Infrastructure teams, and clients, you will gain exposure to large‑scale, mission‑critical systems used by global financial institutions.

With guidance and hands‑on learning, you will:

  • Understand how Murex applications operate end‑to‑end in production
  • Analyze system behavior, incidents, and performance issues
  • Troubleshoot across applications, databases, and infrastructure layers
  • Support real‑world, large‑scale production environments

Your Role

With training and ongoing support, you will:

  • Build technical and functional expertise on the Murex MX.3 platform
  • Learn how financial systems are operated, monitored, and supported in production
  • Analyze incidents, logs, and system behavior to identify root causes
  • Support production monitoring, troubleshooting, and issue resolution
  • Assist with configuration changes, scripting, and technical fixes
  • Document procedures, known issues, and troubleshooting guides
  • Collaborate with global Technical, Functional, Infrastructure, and Project teams
  • Contribute to stable and high‑quality services for Murex clients across the region

Your Profile

Required:

  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, IT, Software Engineering, or related.
  • 0 to 3 Years of relevant experience
  • Strong interest in system architecture, problem‑solving, and technology
  • Familiarity with Linux/Unix, shell scripting, or networking
  • Strong, object-oriented design and coding skills (C/C++ and/or Java)
  • Understanding of databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server)
  • Curiosity, willingness to learn, and strong teamwork
  • English communication skills and a structured way of thinking
  • Japanese, Korean or Chinese language is a plus
  • Ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions

Nice to Have:

  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)
  • Knowledge of Python or other scripting languages a plus
  • Exposure to debugging/profiling tools (GDB, Valgrind, Java profilers)
  • Understanding of multi-threading or design patterns
  • Internship or project experience with enterprise systems

Success Milestones

First 3 months

  • Learn core technical areas, tools, and system architecture
  • Shadow production support activities
  • Resolve initial support incidents with guidance

3–6 months

  • Start owning technical topics or environments
  • Independently analyze and resolve incidents
  • Contribute to documentation and technical improvements

6–12 months

  • Independently handle production support responsibilities
  • Act as a reliable technical contact for specific systems or clients
  • Proactively contribute to automation, stability, and service improvements
