Established in 2010, the Energy Research Institute @ NTU (ERI@N) is a pan-university research institute that focuses on systems-level research for tropical megacities. It performs translational research that covers the energy value chain from generation to innovative end-use solutions, motivated by industrialization and deployment. ERI@N has multiple Interdisciplinary Research Programmes which focus on translational Research, Development & Deployment which focus on specific area of the energy value chain, and a number of Living labs and Testbeds which facilitate large scale technology deployment enabling validation and demonstration of real-world applications

We are looking for a Research Fellow to work on battery flow development joint lab research projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Electrochemical process on interface phenomena

• Battery testing under different conditions

• Simulation of scaled up process.

• Interface with machine learning group on data base set up

• Battery safety testing

• Presenting research advances and outcomes at relevant events

Job Requirements:

• Ph.D in chemistry/ Materials Science/physics

• Candidates with strong background in Materials chemistry/Physical chemistry.

• Experience with energy storage system or electrochemical system (Batteries)

• Encourage initiating activities on battery development, devising, and analytic process

• Experience in machine learning will be preferred 

• Candidates with strong publication/patent records will be preferred

• Good command of oral and written English - essential for data analysis and communication with stakeholders

• Competent in teamwork, good interaction with funding institutions and industry

• Ability to work in autonomy, to respect timelines, to be well organized, to report on a regular basis to the management, to continue to learn
