Job Title: Veterinary Receptionist

Salary: £11.56 per hour

Location: Parkhill Vets, Wetherby

Job Type: Fixed-term (12 Month Contract with the possibility of permanent)

Hours: Part-time, 20 hours per week

Shifts: Monday, Wednesday and Friday 12.30 - 18.30 and 1 in 4 Saturday mornings: 8:00 - 12.30.

We're looking for a dedicated individual to join our amazing Reception team at Parkhill Vets!

Our Reception team plays a crucial role in ensuring that our clients receive exceptional customer service, advice and care for their pets.

You will serve as the first point of contact for new and existing customers, playing a vital role in the customer service relationship.

Role and responsibilities

The duties will involve, but are not limited to:

  • Welcoming clients and their pets in a warm, professional manner.

  • Managing the diary; booking in appointments and surgical procedures.

  • Answering a range of client questions via email and telephone.

  • Pro-active communication between clients and colleagues to ensure the day runs smoothly.

  • Administration duties e.g. scanning paperwork, filling in forms etc.

  • Processing prescription requests.

  • Taking payments.

  • Promoting offers and services.

  • Ensuring that reception is clean and well-stocked.

Personal Specification

  • Previous experience in customer service, credit control & administration is preferable but not essential.

  • Previous experience in a veterinary practice is preferable but not essential

  • Flexibility to cover holidays and sickness if required

Our Practice is situated in a purpose-built building with state-of-the-art equipment and facilities .

The Practice is situated in a lovely setting surrounded by countryside on the outskirts of Wetherby with excellent road links and plentiful on-site parking.
