Position Overview:

The Lab Systems Engineer designs, develops, and implements instrumentation and control systems. They create virtual instruments, interfaces, and data acquisition solutions for monitoring and automating industrial processes. A strong technical knowledge is required in order to design cost effective solutions and upgrade exiting systems. The role serves a crucial purpose in the deliverables of the Laboratory. The selected candidate needs to show a can-do attitude, enjoy technical challenges, work in a dynamic environment and is open to learn new concepts and skills on the job.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Acquisition and Analysis: Interface with sensors and devices, creating real-time data acquisition and analysis solutions.

LabVIEW Programming: Develop LabVIEW-based virtual instruments and interfaces for data acquisition, control, and automation.

Control Systems Implementation: Design control algorithms for automating industrial processes using LabVIEW.

Hardware Integration: Integrate LabVIEW with data acquisition cards, communication protocols and PLCs.

Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Provide technical support, diagnose issues, and conduct routine maintenance.

Customization and Innovation: Tailor LabVIEW solutions to meet project requirements and explore innovative approaches.

Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed documentation and generate project reports.

Training and Knowledge Sharing: Provide training and guidance on LabVIEW programming and instrumentation.

Skills and Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Instrumentation or Electrical Engineering.

2. Knowledge in LabVIEW programming, data acquisition, and GUI design.

3. Knowledge of control systems theory and sensor instrumentation.

4. Experience with hardware integration and communication protocols.

5. Strong problem-solving skills and adherence to industry standards.

6. Project management and teamwork abilities.
