K-STAR INVESTMENT SERVICES OVERVIEW

K-Star Asset Management LLC ("K-Star") was formed in 2022 and is a wholly owned subsidiary of KKR. K-Star Investment Services supports the risk management of its Asset-Based Finance investments, asset management, securities investing, and client experience for its Real Estate Credit franchise as both verticals continue to scale. The K-Star team includes industry specialists to oversee residential mortgage investments, consumer finance investments, special servicing, stabilized and transitional loan asset management across many KKR investment portfolios.

POSITION SUMMARY

K-Star is seeking a Consumer Data Operations Professional to join its ABF Operations Team focusing on Asset-Based Finance investments. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wishes to build a career in investment operations at a reputable buy-side firm. The role is based in Dallas and collaborates regularly with the deal team at KKR. 

The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years of relevant experience at a financial institution with exposure to consumer data. The position will support the Asset-Based Finance desk and will work directly with the investment team to assist with data analysis and management related to its existing $10.8bn portfolio. The role requires constant communication with the deal team and various stakeholders and business groups, so strong communication and relationship-building skills are essential.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the Asset-Based Finance group with data management related to consumer loans
  • Analyze borrowing base calculations, concentration requirements, and hedging facilities across portfolios
  • Own and maintain monthly remittance process, troubleshooting cash and data issues with trading counterparties, trustees, servicers and middle office
  • Identify, analyze, and correct data discrepancies to ensure data integrity on the existing portfolio and produce reports to monitor portfolio performance
  • Assist in designing standard operating procedures and requirements for supporting technology

QUALIFCATIONS

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree
  • Ideally 2-4 years of experience in Financial Services with exposure to consumer data
  • Strong personal initiative, exceptional organization and attention to detail, and ability to learn quickly
  • A track record in accuracy and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced, growing work environment with high expectations
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Team-oriented with strong integrity and professionalism
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Working experience in SQL and other programming languages and experience using LMS not required but valued
  • Experience and track record in project management and process improvement
