Reporting to :

Engineering Services Manager

 

Shift Pattern – Continental

·         Continental Shift Pattern

·         Engineering will be on site 7am-12midnight Mon-Fri

·         Engineering will be on site 7am-8pm Sat-Sun

·         2 Shifts will run daily

·         7am-7pm and 12pm-12am

·         On Call from 12am-7am

 

Job Purpose

·         To undertake all aspects of Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), Reactive Maintenance, small projects and Help Desk Calls in accordance with both client and JLL requirements .

·         To manage and monitor the building operational functions.

·         To be responsible for the buildings operational assets and systems whilst on shift.

·         To issue permit to work for all specialist vendors and carryout appropriate isolations via LOTO.

·         To complete HV training and switch HV and LV supplies as required.

 

Aims and Objectives

·         To assist and support the ESM/BSS in all functions, to ensure HSE, statutory and contractual compliance.

 

 

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

 

·         Escalation of incidents

·         All aspects of Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), Reactive Maintenance, and Help Desk Calls managed and completed whilst on shift.

·         Provide holiday and sickness cover

·         Staff supervision including sub-contractors and specialist providers.

·         Be proactive with regard to preventative maintenance and extra works.

·         Operate JLL QA and HSE policy and  procedures

·         Maintain clear and legible records as required.

·         Provide written incident reports as required.

·         Interaction with JLL support staff, providing information as required

·         Switching of HV and LV supplies as required

 

Occasional Allied Duties

  • To deputize as ESM support as required.

  • Interface with Client Representative, and Service providers.

 

 

Person Specification

 

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Competencies

The knowledge, skills, qualifications, competencies and experience relevant to the position are:

Essential

  • City & Guilds Parts 1 and 2 (Electrical Installation 2360) or recognised equivalent; or

  • 17th Edition Institute of Electrical Engineers (I.E.E) Registration or recognised equivalent.

  • Experience gained within a critical maintenance environment .

  • A good working knowledge of BMS, and critical assets and systems i.e. UPS,Emergency Generation,Electrical and Mechanical distribution,Air conditioning.

  • Ability to interpret technical information and work with the team to provide solutions to technical / complex issues.

  • Good leadership qualities, with a desire to progress within the business.

 

Desirable

  • HV Approved.

  • BTEC ONC Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or Building Services or recognised equivalent.

  • Experience in a supervisory role.
