About the Role

Acts as a technical lead and subject matter expert for the team on data engineering technical stack and integration tools and standard processes used in analytics data management.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Understands, designs, develops, and expands data engineering technical stacks: ETLs, Data Stores, Data Warehouse, Data Lakes, Data Hubs, Data Governance, Visualization, Performance, Infrastructure, and Governance in either enterprise/ open source/ customized solutions or platforms.

  • Expertise in tools and solutions related to data governance which includes but not limited to analyzing and visualizing diverse sources of data, discovering data sources, and making them available through ETL as part of the data democratization initiative. Applies data mining and wrangling on data.

  • Finds opportunities to optimize the ETL environment, implements monitoring, quality, and validation processes to ensure data accuracy and integrity.

  • Provides inputs in data governance to drive data governance charter. o Implements data pipelines to bring data at reach to platforms or tools used by various business units. Maintains development roadmap aligned with product and infrastructure objectives to support advanced data solutions.

  • Analyzes source data and data flows and building APIs or solutions for data consumption or integration to different tools.

  • Provides domain expertise or support to data engineering technical stack post-production.

  • Designs and implements solutions for integration, streaming, processing, and storage of data. This also includes data in data warehouses, data lakes, and/or data hubs and handling of structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data.

  • Works with architects in contributing to the Data Analytics team on standard processes in backend infrastructure, cloud transformation, and distributed computing topics.

  • Handles monitoring of all data cleansing/quality activities including support and mentorship to business users to support all reporting needs, data profiles.

  • Develops team’s data capabilities with sharing, implementing standard processes, and building a data-driven organization.

Minimum Job Requirements:

Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or Engineering courses

Years of Experience: at least 10 years demonstrated ability in designing, building data warehouses or data lakes.

General Qualifications:

  • Innovative, proactive, creative, well-organized, and able to easily adapt to various technologies.

  • Great interpersonal skills and excellent oral and written communication skills. Able to manage work with internal partners and vendors.

  • Willingness and desire to learn new environment and tools and advance your knowledge. Keeps up to date with new research and integrated applications in data science field.

  • Able to work with loosely defined requirements and exercise analytical skills to clarify questions, share methodology/approach, and build/test solutions.

Technical Qualifications:

  • Demonstrates extensive experience in IT Transformation in Technology including cloud, dev sec ops, and integration.

  • Demonstrates experience in ability to lead the building and maintenance of application lifecycle roadmaps aligned with the Enterprise Technology Roadmap and Enterprise Architecture.

  • Experience in monitoring and managing IT risks mitigation plans, and strategies related to application domains and corresponding systems. Certifications / Licenses: N/A
