As a Senior Director of Sales, you will spearhead the success of multiple districts, guiding them to achieve and surpass sales targets. You will lead District Sales Managers and their teams, providing strategic direction, performance coaching, and ensuring revenue growth across all operations. Your leadership will be pivotal in fostering a high-performance culture and driving sustainable growth.

Your role will be essential in forging strong relationships with stakeholders and industry decision-makers, identifying and capitalizing on new business opportunities, and positioning our cutting-edge products as the premier choice in diabetes care.

Responsibilities
Set Vision and Strategy
Analyze market trends and competitor strategies to formulate quarterly and annual business plans that align with the company's growth objectives
Lead the creation and execution of strategic sales initiatives that drive revenue growth and achieve key business goals
Stay informed of industry developments and emerging technologies, particularly in the insulin pump market, to maintain a competitive edge
Respond to changes in the healthcare landscape and adjust business strategies to capitalize on new opportunities and overcome challenges
Lead & Develop Teams
Provide strategic leadership and motivation to District Sales Managers and their teams, compelling them to consistently exceed sales targets for medical devices
Act as a coach and mentor, fostering performance improvement and growth through ongoing development and guidance
Cultivate an empowered, collaborative, and high-performance team culture, ensuring alignment with company goals and values
Oversee the identification, recruitment, and hiring of new field personnel, ensuring alignment with company standards and strategic needs
Manage operational and administrative tasks, ensuring compliance with budgetary guidelines and efficient use of resources across the region
Grow Your Business
Define clear performance metrics and hold District Sales Managers accountable for their teams' results, driving consistent sales performance and operational success
Achieve or surpass quarterly and annual regional sales targets, revenue goals, and market share growth in alignment with company objectives and adherence to budget.
Identify and implement innovative tools, technologies, or process improvements to enhance operational efficiencies and support business growth
Utilize various data sources to continuously assess regional performance, uncover opportunities for improvement, and optimize sales effectiveness
Lead Collaborative, Cross-Functional Relationships
Work with executive leadership, marketing, and product teams to align on strategic objectives
Champion seamless, customer-focused solutions that deliver exceptional value and create an outstanding experience for healthcare providers and patients
Promote a culture of collaboration to integrate regional goals with company-wide initiatives
Manage Stakeholder Relationships
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key industry stakeholders, decision-makers, and healthcare providers to drive business growth and establish trust
Build credibility with healthcare professionals and strategic partners by providing expertise and aligning solutions with their needs
Engage in ongoing relationship-building efforts to enhance the organization’s reputation and foster long-term partnerships
Deeply understand the specific needs of customers, particularly in diabetes care, and tailor strategies to meet their expectations
Balance achieving short-term sales targets with nurturing long-term relationships to ensure sustained business success
Required Skills and Competencies
Proven ability to lead and execute strategic sales plans aligned with organizational goals, driving market share growth and business opportunities
Expertise in managed care, reimbursement processes, and account management, with strong knowledge of healthcare regulations and medical device approval processes
Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with a focus on coaching, mentoring, and motivating sales managers
Strong collaborator, adept at building and nurturing relationships with customers and cross-functional teams
Outstanding communication skills, capable of influencing executive decisions and fostering business growth
Data-driven decision-maker with a keen ability to identify challenges, develop solutions, and optimize sales performance
Technologically proficient in large data systems and medical devices like insulin pumps and continuous glucose monitors
Skilled in time management, operational efficiency, and forecasting to enhance sales and performance management
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence executive decisions
Keen ability to identify challenges, develop solutions, and make data-driven decisions to optimize sales performance
Strong technological proficiency (both large data systems as well as personal devices, such as insulin pumps and continuous glucose monitors)
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree and at least 8 years’ sales experience in the medical device industry (required)
Minimum 5 years of sales leadership experience; previous experience leading managers (preferred)
Minimum of 5 successful years in diabetes sales and operations (preferred)
Additional Information
Valid driver’s license required
Position will require frequent travel by air and automobile within assigned region
Regular overnight travel may be required

The total base salary and target incentive compensation for this position is $275,000 - $325,000 annually (based on the achievement of goals). Base pay will vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Insulet offers a comprehensive benefits package, generous paid time-off, and career growth opportunities.
NOTE: This position requires field-based working arrangements (travel within assigned territory required). #LI-Remote
