As a Cloud Engineer at dunnhumby, you will join an agile team contributing to and maintaining our cloud infrastructure as code, CI / CD pipelines, and working alongside other experienced professionals to deliver our software products. You will be well presented, self-motivated and have a clear passion for creating high quality code and systems. You will seek out areas to automate and drive continuous improvements to our software development life cycle.
What you’ll be working on
• Develop and maintain cloud solutions following industry best practices.
• Define and document deployment and infrastructure maintenance best practices and strategies.
• Ensure the performance, uptime, and scalability of infrastructure, while upholding high standards for code quality and thoughtful design.
• Offer guidance, thought leadership, and mentorship to development teams to enhance their cloud expertise.
• Collaborate with engineering and development teams to assess and identify optimal cloud solutions.
What we expect from you
• At least 5 years of engineering experience, with a strong track record in building and maintaining highly available production systems on GCP, Azure, or AWS.
• Proficiency in at least two programming languages, we mainly use Python and Go.
• Expertise in Infrastructure as Code, primarily using Terraform.
• Proficient in Docker, Helm, and Kubernetes.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD systems.
• Capable of designing roadmaps and delivering user-friendly interfaces.
• Adaptable and quick learner in a fast-paced environment, consistently producing high-quality code.
• Demonstrated ability in mentoring and coaching, fostering the professional growth of team members.
