Position Overview: 

Neuberger Berman is looking for a Fund controller to take responsibility for the fund accounting and operations of several Luxembourg funds and supporting the launch of new products.  The person will report to the Chief Financial Officer and Conducting Officer Finance and Valuation.

Primary Responsibilities:

Governance, Control and New Fund Strategies

• Active participation in new funds launched and set up of new strategies.
• Ownership of cash and capital management.
• Ensure all regulatory and statutory financial submissions are completed appropriately and on time.
• Enhance the processes and procedures, working with the wider finance and non-finance teams.

Operational Accounting

• Responsible for managing the fund operational processes (capital call/distribution/etc.).
• Liquidity management.
• Ensure fund financial information is communicated appropriately to the outsourced providers, quarterly valuations, recoverable from funds, etc.
• Review of key balance sheet accounts.
• Preparation of interim and annual financial statements.
• Production of monthly, quarterly and annual management reporting.

Key Requirements / Qualifications: (essential unless otherwise stated)

• Fluent in English.
• Qualified accountant, fund accounting experience (preferable 10-12 years post qualifications).
• Confident, with the ability to deal with multiple internal clients.
• Highly organized, adherence to internal deadlines and appropriate escalation any issues.
• Self-starter, able to work independently whilst ensuring engagement with the wider finance team.
• Advanced excel skills.
