The Senior Accountant opportunity:

Reporting to the VP Finance (US) this position will be a key member of the North American Finance team who’s primary responsibility is to prepare the management and statutory reporting.  You will own key processes within the Finance department with the opportunity to take on ad-hoc and highly visible projects, as time permits. A keen eye for detail is a must as this is a busy position which looks after accounts and auditing for multiple entities.

Other responsibilities include;

  • Preparation of monthly financial reporting including journal entry preparation, balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis for a number of U.S. entities.

  • Support the revenue billing and accounts payable process.

  • Advise on how to create or improve current financial operations;

  • Ensure that the financial control environment is effective;

  • Support the U.S. finance function in day to day tasks, including collaboration with finance teams across the globe;

  • Manage U.S. intercompany positions and oversee intercompany reconciliation across U.S. entities;

  • Assist in the preparation of statutory accounts for several U.S. entities (including a regulated Trust Company);

  • Assisting with the annual audits including preparing audit deliverables;

  • Assist finance team to achieve objectives of the U.S finance function. This will include ad-hoc project work.

Experience Required:

  • CPA highly preferred;

  • 5+ years of public accounting experience and/or strong corporate accounting experience;

  • Previous experience in an Auditing and Accounting role with exposure to the Financial Services industry;

  • Comfortable managing own workload to ensure deadlines are met;

  • Excellent communication skills, interacting with people at all levels and across all departments;

  • Personal commitment to high quality work and able to demonstrate good attention to detail;
