Key Responsibilities:
- Perform core verification and validation testing of healthcare applications, including EHR/EMR systems, patient portals, and APIs.
- Review and analyze healthcare-specific requirements and translate them into detailed test plans and test cases.
- Execute and maintain both manual and automated test suites for functional and non-functional testing.
- Conduct API testing using tools like Postman, REST Assured, or similar, ensuring secure and compliant data exchange.
- Write and review code to support test automation and investigate defects.
- Participate in code reviews and collaborate with developers to ensure testability and quality.
- Ensure traceability of test cases to business and regulatory requirements.
- Document and track defects using tools like JIRA, and work with teams to resolve them.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and automation frameworks.
- Stay updated on healthcare compliance standards and ensure testing aligns with them.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in software testing or SDET roles, preferably in the healthcare domain.
- Strong understanding of QA methodologies, SDLC, STLC, and Agile practices.
- Experience with API testing and tools like Postman, REST Assured.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Java, Python).
- Experience with test automation frameworks and scripting.
- Familiarity with healthcare data formats and standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR, ICD-10).
- Strong analytical and debugging skills.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with healthcare compliance standards (e.g., HIPAA).
- Exposure to performance and security testing.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
- ISTQB or equivalent certification.
- Experience working with cloud-based healthcare platforms.
