Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform core verification and validation testing of healthcare applications, including EHR/EMR systems, patient portals, and APIs.
  • Review and analyze healthcare-specific requirements and translate them into detailed test plans and test cases.
  • Execute and maintain both manual and automated test suites for functional and non-functional testing.
  • Conduct API testing using tools like Postman, REST Assured, or similar, ensuring secure and compliant data exchange.
  • Write and review code to support test automation and investigate defects.
  • Participate in code reviews and collaborate with developers to ensure testability and quality.
  • Ensure traceability of test cases to business and regulatory requirements.
  • Document and track defects using tools like JIRA, and work with teams to resolve them.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and automation frameworks.
  • Stay updated on healthcare compliance standards and ensure testing aligns with them.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2–4 years of experience in software testing or SDET roles, preferably in the healthcare domain.
  • Strong understanding of QA methodologies, SDLC, STLC, and Agile practices.
  • Experience with API testing and tools like Postman, REST Assured.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Java, Python).
  • Experience with test automation frameworks and scripting.
  • Familiarity with healthcare data formats and standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR, ICD-10).
  • Strong analytical and debugging skills.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with healthcare compliance standards (e.g., HIPAA).
  • Exposure to performance and security testing.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
  • ISTQB or equivalent certification.
  • Experience working with cloud-based healthcare platforms.
