Job Description:

• On-going implementation of customer service commitment 

• Allocation of work 

• Customer repair work 

• Handling customer calls 

• Monitoring both the quantity and qualify of work within the branch 

• Ensuring safety standards are maintained 

• New employee orientation 

• Assist leadhands and technicians with managing machine overalls and large projects 

• Act as a key technical resource for shop technicians

Qualifications:

• Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician Certification 

• Well-rounded experience as a Journeyperson Technician 

• Completion, or in the process of completing, Finning S-Level courses 

• Computer literate and possess excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, coupled with outstanding product knowledge 

• Leadership skills and the willingness to contribute positively to a quality team environment  

Important Details:

• This is a position based out of Whitehorse, on a Monday - Friday (5x2) shift

• A condition of employment is the ability to be fit tested and the ability to wear a respirator 

Union Membership: This is a unionized position.  Union dues will be deducted from your pay upon hire.  Terms of employment are governed by a collective agreement.
