Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Intern to work alongside the friendly ANZ finance team. This internship offers hands-on opportunities and experience in various aspects of finance and accounting operations, providing an excellent opportunity to develop practical skills in a real-world business and gain insight into the cybersecurity industry. Under the guidance of our experienced professionals, the intern will gain exposure to financial operation, procedures, controls, compliance and day-to-day finance and accounting tasks in a global cybersecurity leader.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assist with Bank reconciliation and general ledger entries.
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
• Liaise with suppliers/vendors to reconcile trade accounts.
• Contribute to month-end close processes
• Conducting analysis of financial data to support decision making processes
• Assist with internal and external audit process as required
• Accept ad hoc duties and assist with special projects as directed by the Financial Accountant.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                              

Qualifications, Experience & Characteristics:

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, or related field.
• Passionate and dedication to developing for a future finance career are vital.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, enjoy building relationship with close stakeholders, willing to share ideas, express thoughts, and open to others’ views and feedback.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, accountable and reliable
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and journal entries.
• Proficiency in MS Office particularly Microsoft Excel and Outlooks
• Flexible working hours, Monday, Wednesday and Friday are teamwork days
• Potential for a casual position following the completion of the internship, based on performance and business needs
