What You Will Do:

Guidehouse is seeking an Executive Assistant to support a client within the Department of State.  The candidate will be responsible for directly interfacing with and supporting two divisional directors. The Executive Assistant responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring actions are captured and followed up on; providing tactical support to implement ideas and actions

  • Responding to inquiries on behalf of the client

  • Drafting key correspondence, action memos, after action reports and other key documents

  • Collaborating with client Leadership and Staff to determine and prioritize business strategies

  • Working with client to deliver, monitor, and communicate progress towards goals

  • Helping to manage the client’s schedule and planning and managing travel expenses

  • Supporting the client in planning, coordinating, and leading meetings, and keeping contents of meetings focused

  • Recording meeting minutes

The Executive Assistant will work as part of a cross functional team, support technical/management meetings and workshops with clients, and contribute to the project work plans.  


What You Will Need:

  • An ACTIVE and MAINTAINED SECRET Federal or DoD security clearance

  • A Bachelor's degree

  • FIVE (5) years of administrative support/executive assistant experience

  • Ability to work onsite up to 5 days/week at client site(s) in the DMV


What Would Be Nice To Have:

  • An ACTIVE and MAINTAINED TOP SECRET Federal or DoD security clearance

  • Experience working with the Department of State and understanding of Department processes

  • Excellent organizational and written communication skills; capability to clearly and succinctly define problems and outline solutions

  • Strong attention to detail

The annual salary range for this position is $94,900.00-$142,300.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
