Project Role Description : Enables full stack solutions through multi-disciplinary team planning and ecosystem integration to accelerate delivery and drive quality across the application lifecycle. Performs continuous testing for security, API, and regression suite. Creates automation strategy, automated scripts and supports data and environment configuration. Participates in code reviews, monitors, and reports defects to support continuous improvement activities for the end-to-end testing process.

Summary:
As a Chaos Engineering Engineer(Tester), you should have extensive hands-on experience in the Test Harness chaos engineering tool. This role is critical for ensuring the resilience and reliability of our systems through expertly designed chaos experiments. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in engineering chaos scripts, testing, and understanding of modern microservices architectures. In addition, experience with networking, VMware, and Kubernetes (preferably TKG Tanzu) is essential. The candidate must demonstrate thorough experience in scripting, automating, and executing chaos tests to identify and rectify potential failures. The candidate needs to have understanding of SLA – 99.99% availability and RPO=0 and RTO=1 hour and needs to ensure that chaos resiliency tests needs to take into account the SLAs provided. The tests need to be crafted and run executed to ensure that production environment constructed has fully passed chaos resliecy tests before announcement of go live
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Design, script, and implement chaos engineering tests using the Test Harness tool to evaluate system resilience and failure responses.
- Conduct rigorous testing across various environments to identify potential points of failure in microservices architectures.
- Develop and automate chaos experiments, ensuring they are repeatable, scalable, and effective in uncovering system vulnerabilities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand system architecture, dependencies, and potential impact areas.
- Analyze results from chaos experiments, identify weaknesses, and work with relevant teams to devise fixes and improvements.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of networking, VMware, and Kubernetes (TKG Tanzu) to ensure tests are relevant and comprehensive.
- Document chaos engineering processes, findings, and recommendations for system enhancements.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Strong experience in Chaos Testing with proven expertise in using the Test Harness tool.
-Strong background in scripting and automating chaos tests.
-Experience in a DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) role.
- In-depth understanding of microservices architecture and its complexities.
- Knowledge of networking principles, VMware, and Kubernetes (TKG Tanzu experience preferred).
- Experience in designing and implementing resilience and failure detection mechanisms.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively under pressure.
- Certifications in relevant technologies (e.g., Kubernetes, VMware).
- Experience in a DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) role.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of Chaos Testing with proven expertise in using the Test Harness tool.
- The ideal candidate will possess a strong educational background in computer science or a related field, along with a proven track record of delivering impactful performance testing solutions.
