A bit about us:

Do you want to join one of the world’s fastest growing sports technology companies? Genius Sports is at the epicentre of the global network connecting sports, brands and fans through official live data. Our mission is simple. We champion a more sustainable sports data ecosystem that benefits all parties.

We’re looking for enthusiastic and ambitious people to join our talented team.

If you see yourself becoming part of a global family building the future of sports entertainment together, then come and grow with us. We put trust in our people to deliver the difference for our clients around the world. It’s why many of the world’s largest leagues & federations such as the NFL, English Premier League, FIBA and NCAA choose to work with Genius Sports.

Background:

For many decades, the way fans experience and enjoy sports changed very little.  Sports fans would travel to stadiums/arenas to participate in the live experience or carved out a few hours to sit down in their living room (or the local pub) to tune into the game.   While the internet and mobile devices have made it easier to consume sports from anywhere, technology has, for many years, limited innovation around new ways to engage with sports.

Today, computers have caught up with our imagination driving shifts in consumer behavior that are redefining the way fans enjoy sports almost overnight.   This has paved the way for a new era of intelligent sports, one where fan experiences are more intelligent, interactive, individualized, and immersive than ever before:

  • Intelligent:   Over the past several decades, data, statistics, data science, and increasingly machine learning/AI have changed the way players train, the way teams get built, the way tickets/games are priced, and the way fans watch sports.
  • Immediate: When it comes to sports, moments matter.  Placing a bet a second too late matters.  Watching a highlight after all your friends have told you about it matters.   Today’s fans expect near-real time information and experiences.
  • Immersive:  Sports experiences will become more immersive on the web, on our phones, on our smart TV’s, and on smart glasses.   It will no longer be enough to be watching the action; fans will want to experience and participate in it from the court, pitch, or field.

GeniusIQ: is a platform, leveraging a deep understanding of sport specific domain knowledge in combination with award-winning advanced technology in AI, machine learning, and computer vision.  This platform evolves manual data collection and content creation to semi and fully automated solutions and forms the foundation layer that enables Genius products and services to deliver immediate, intelligent, and immersive experiences.
