Are you ready to take ownership of AI solutions at scale – not just build them?

In our agile AI, Advanced Analytics & Autonomy team, you will develop, deploy and operate our agentic AI platform at Covestro, with direct influence on the technical direction of our AI capabilities.

You will work in an interdisciplinary environment with interfaces to R&D, manufacturing, supply chain and internal support functions as well as external partners, vendors and research institutions.

In addition to our wide range of benefits, a full-time position offers an attractive starting salary between €104,800/year and €127,100/year plus a variable component. The starting salary depends on your qualifications and professional experience.

What you will do in detail:

• You lead the technical delivery of large-scale Generative & Agentic AI products, guiding a team of engineers through the full software development lifecycle – from architecture decisions and prototyping all the way to production and long-term operations

• Complex product goals are broken down by you into well-scoped technical increments, making smart trade-offs between technical excellence, feature delivery and speed

• You own the architecture and technical standards of the products you work on, making deliberate decisions about how the system evolves and ensuring consistency and quality across the entire codebase

• Closely collaborating with stakeholders, you translate complex requirements into technically sound, user-facing solutions that create real impact

• You evaluate and drive the adoption of new technologies, frameworks and approaches, keeping both the product and the team at the cutting edge of what is possible in Generative & Agentic AI

What you bring:

• You hold a completed university degree in computer science, data science or a related field

• Extensive hands-on experience in software engineering with strong proficiency in TypeScript and AWS, combined with deep expertise in Generative & Agentic AI – including foundation models, agentic frameworks and runtimes; experience with LangGraph is a strong plus

• Proven ability to provide technical leadership within an engineering team, driving quality and delivery across the full SDLC, is part of your track record

• Strong product instincts enable you to break down a large vision into meaningful increments and make smart trade-offs between technical debt, functionality and time to delivery

• You have a proven track record of building and operating complex AI products in production environments

• You communicate confidently with both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders, translating between business needs and technical realities

• Fluency in written and spoken English completes your profile
