Job Description:

The Lead Agile Coach is responsible for guiding and elevating the capabilities of Agile Coaches and Scrum Masters across the organization. This role focuses on fostering high-performing teams, implementing Agile principles and practices, and supporting the continuous improvement of Agile methodologies within the company. The Lead Agile Coach will provide leadership, mentorship, and strategic direction to ensure the effective application of Agile frameworks and the development of a collaborative, adaptive organizational culture.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Strategy :

    • Lead and mentor Agile Coaches and Scrum Masters.

    • Provide guidance, support, and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and effectiveness in implementing Agile practices across teams.

    • Collaborate with senior management to align agile practices with organizational goals

  • Develop and Implement Agile Best Practices : Establish standardized Agile processes, tools, and metrics to ensure consistency and efficiency across teams and projects.

  • Facilitate Organizational Ceremonies and Events : Coordinate and lead key Agile events such as quarterly increment planning, reviews, demonstrations, and retrospectives to promote collaboration and continuous improvement.

  • Coach Leadership and Management Teams :

    • Educate and support executives and managers in embracing Agile principles and fostering an Agile mindset throughout the organization.

    • Resolve complex team dynamics and impediments. Identify and address challenges that hinder team performance, including cultural barriers and logistical issues, to maintain productivity and morale.

    • Foster a culture of collaboration and open communication among teams

    • Serve as a liaison between teams and leadership, ensuring alignment on goals and priorities

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g. Computer Science, Business Administration, or related discipline)

  • Minimum of 12 years of experience in IT project management, with at least 7 years as a Scrum Master or 5 years in Agile coaching

  • Certified Agile Coach (e.g., ICP-ACC, PSM, CSM, SAFe, LeSS)

  • Deep understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, Lean) and scaling methodologies (SAFe, LeSS, etc.)

  • Expertise in Agile coaching techniques and team facilitation

  • Proficiency in Agile project management tools (e.g., Jira, PlanView)

  • Knowledge of CI/CD practices and tools

  • Understanding of organizational change management principles

  • Familiarity with software development lifecycle and IT operations

  • Experience in managing and mentoring Agile Coaches and Scrum Masters

  • Proven track record of successfully leading agile transformation

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to resolve conflicts and facilitate a positive team dynamic
