What you'll do...

We are seeking a Software Engineer III to join our Fintech Intelligent Reporting team, dedicated to elevating reporting and analytics across diverse segments such as Walmart, Sam's Club, International, Corporate, and Enterprise. In this pivotal role, you will be at the forefront of transforming data into actionable insights that drive financial strategy and operational efficiency.

About Team: Enterprise Business Service - Finance Planning and Analytics - Reporting
As a part of Walmart Finance Technology – FP&A Reporting - we build enterprise standard semantic data models that deals with large amount of finance data for self-service, adhoc analysis and build visualization that enable actionable insights that drive finance strategy and operational efficiency for the company 
 
What You'll Do: 

  • Design and develop BI Semantic Models and create reports, visualizations and dashboards by utilizing best modeling strategies and methodologies. 

  • Ensure developed visualizations are high quality and comply with design standards. 

  • Lead the discovery phase of small to medium projects to come up with high level design by partnering with the 4ITB (product management, Engineering, business, and user experience teams); obtaining cross-function approvals; driving proof-of-concept; and implement prototypes to validate ideas. 

  • Demonstrate craftsmanship and produce high quality software that is unit tested, code reviewed and checked in regularly for continuous integration. 

  • Generate technical documentation and present design options, and educate development, product, and business teams. 

 

What You'll Bring: 

  • Proven experience in developing business intelligence solutions using Power BI 

  • Strong skills in data modeling, DAX, SQL and experience in working with different data sources (SQL Databases, Big Query, Cloud Platforms) Proficiency in data analysis.  

  • Ability to analyze data and derive meaningful insights from complex datasets using Power BI. 

  • Experience in designing and developing interactive dashboards and visualizations. 

  • Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and ETL processes. 

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. 

  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities. 

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00-$180,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
