Job Description

As the Director of Sales, Western Region, you'll be responsible for leading profitable growth across a strategic portfolio of customers while contributing to the overall commercial success of the organization. You'll effectively communicate and demonstrate the Company’s differentiated value proposition in alignment with customer needs, business priorities, and long‑term growth objectives.

You'll also oversee a team of Account Managers and will play a critical role in educating both customers and internal sales professionals on the company’s full stretch‑film product line, as well as the equipment and technologies required to optimize performance. This role reports directly to the Vice President of Sales.

Primary Responsibilities

Drive Profitable Organic Growth

  • Lead disciplined strategies to expand existing accounts and win new business in alignment with Business Unit goals.

  • Identify high‑value opportunities to increase share of wallet and overall contribution margin.

Strengthen and Deepen Customer Relationships

  • Build and maintain multi‑level customer relationships, aligning internal resources with key stakeholders across functional areas.

Lead Long‑Term Strategic Growth Planning

  • Develop and execute a multi‑year growth strategy that delivers sustainable organic growth and strengthens connection points across all company divisions.

Champion a Unified Value Proposition

  • Present the Company’s full offering—products, services, capabilities, sustainability initiatives—in a coordinated and compelling manner to maximize enterprise‑wide impact.

Drive Customer‑Focused Solutions

  • Proactively uncover customer challenges and deliver integrated solutions that broaden account penetration and reach senior decision‑makers.

Advance Commercial Excellence

  • Implement and reinforce standardized commercial tools and processes (Salesforce, Sales Conductor, Monthly Commercial Reviews, etc.) to support transparency, rigor, and communication across the Business Unit.

Develop and Elevate Internal Talent

  • Coach, mentor, and develop Account Managers; identify and deploy the right resources to achieve customer and revenue objectives.

Customer & Sales Team Education

  • Lead training programs for both customers and internal teams on stretch‑film products, equipment, and best practices to maximize application performance.

Innovation Center Leadership

  • Oversee sales‑related operations and utilization of the Tulsa Innovation Center to support trials, demonstrations, training, and technical development.

Collaborate Cross‑Functionally

  • Partner closely with Product Management, Supply Chain, R&D, and Marketing to ensure aligned strategies and smooth commercialization of new solutions.

Market & Competitive Intelligence

  • Maintain a solid understanding of market dynamics, competitive activity, and evolving equipment technologies to inform strategic decision‑making.

Support Equipment Optimization

  • Work with technical experts and OEM partners to ensure customers receive proper guidance on setup, performance optimization, and equipment‑film compatibility.

Enhance the Customer Experience

  • Ensure consistent communication, responsiveness, and issue resolution to reinforce the Company’s position as a trusted strategic partner.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Willingness to relocate to Tulsa, OK, with up to 50% travel to support customers, team development, and Innovation Center activities.

  • Proven experience leading sales teams to exceed performance expectations; prior sales management experience preferred.

  • Solid understanding of stretch‑film products, performance characteristics, and application equipment required to optimize performance.

  • Demonstrated ability to influence and manage complex relationships across customers, channel partners, OEMs, and cross‑functional internal teams.

  • Ability to operate autonomously and make sound decisions that balance customer needs with business objectives.

  • Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills; effective in facilitating training and leading cross‑functional discussions.

  • Proven commercial, strategic, and analytical abilities, including interpreting data, assessing profitability, and developing actionable insights.

  • High level of professionalism, dependability, interpersonal effectiveness, and ability to influence without direct authority.

  • Proficient in Excel, Outlook, CRM platforms, LinkedIn, and other analytical or database tools.
