As a Custom Software Engineer, you will develop custom software solutions to design, code, and enhance components across systems or applications. Your typical day will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, utilizing modern frameworks and agile practices to deliver scalable and high-performing solutions tailored to specific business needs. You will engage in problem-solving activities, ensuring that the software meets the highest standards of quality and performance while adapting to evolving project requirements. Roles & Responsibilities: - Expected to be a Subject Matter Expert with deep knowledge and experience. - Should quickly upskill on the architecture and frameworks of the team and design solutions with it. - Should have influencing and advisory skills. - Responsible for team decisions. - Solicit requirements and build solutions based on existing platforms and systems. - Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions. - Expected to provide solutions to problems that apply across multiple teams. - Facilitate knowledge sharing sessions to enhance team capabilities and foster a culture of continuous improvement. - Mentor junior professionals to help them develop their skills and understanding of the software development lifecycle. Professional & Technical Skills: - Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Embedded C and C++. - Strong understanding of software development methodologies, particularly Agile and Scrum. - Experience with embedded systems and real-time operating systems. - Experience with semiconductor based product development and knowledge on terminology is added advantage. - Familiarity with version control systems such as Git. - Ability to troubleshoot and debug complex software issues. Additional Information: - The candidate should have minimum 15 years of experience in Embedded C++. - This position is based at our Bengaluru office. - A 15 years full time education is required
