The Role

Step into a pivotal technical leadership role within our Intelligent Network Automation Group, where you'll guide and execute key projects with a focus on Observability, Network IQ, and Dev & Ops of the Future. You'll proactively collaborate with team members and stakeholders to ensure the rapid delivery of essential capabilities while providing ongoing support for network, software, and data engineering initiatives. You'll lead software and data engineering efforts, overseeing the meticulous re-architecture, security fortification, and comprehensive containerization of domain networks. Key responsibilities

  • Utilizing your advanced stakeholder and customer management skills, proficiently analyse and interpret complex challenges presented by internal clients, stakeholders, engineers, and executives by leveraging your broad knowledge in network, software and data engineering domains.

  • Leverage strong network technology knowledge combined with software engineering and data engineering capabilities to be able to design, integrate, evaluate and execute scalable solutions for network observability.

  • Innovate and propose effective solutions, evaluate architectural alternatives rigorously, and execute end-to-end software development focusing on data engineering technologies such as ETL processes, data pipelines, and data warehousing solutions.

  • Demonstrate expertise in designing and optimizing data systems, ensuring reliability, scalability, and security across various platforms and cloud environments.

Essential experience:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer with subject matter expertise in Data engineering including Spark, Python, Scala.

The successful candidate should have experience in the following:

  • Highly skilled and proficient in Python and sql, with practical experience in applying these technologies across various projects.

  • Designing, developing, and maintaining data pipelines using Spark, Python, Scala, and related technologies.

  • Ensuring data quality, data security, and optimal performance of the data pipelines.

  • Practical experience in developing efficient and concurrent systems for modern software

  • Actively contribute to the evaluation of complex business information to define the business problem and create and implement best practice solutions

  • Present complex technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders in a way that optimises the engagement and facilitates agreement on project scope, milestones and deliverables
