Qualifications:

  • Candidate must be a graduate of Bachelor of Laws.
  • Must be a Philippine Bar passer with at least 4 years of experience in legal practice.
  • With at least 2 years work experience in a financial institution is preferred.
  • Knowledgeable of the regulations of BSP and other regulatory bodies (MORB, BI, DOLE, SEC, NPC).
  • Must be familiar with financial regulations, contract reviews, labor disputes, litigation, preparation of pleadings, reports and memorandum, commercial arbitration, data privacy and protection.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal advice and guidance on the application of laws (banking, commercial, civil, labor and arbitration).
  • Draft and review legal documents including but not limited to loan documentation for syndicated loans, short term loans, bilateral agreements, customer's Secretary's Certificate/SPAs, trade finance instruments, terms and conditions of bank applications/forms, notices, demand letters, service agreements, contract of lease.
  • Conduct study sessions on topics that have legal implications for the Bank.
  • Draft manuals, policies, guidelines, and procedures of the Bank.
  • Assist in the conduct of administrative proceedings against employees; and
  • Solve problems and escalate to the Legal Adviser if necessary.
