Job Duties:

Plan, direct, or coordinate, usually through subordinate supervisory personnel, activities concerned with the construction of structures, facilities, and systems. Participate in the conceptual development of a construction project and oversee its organization, scheduling, budgeting, and implementation.

Oversee project team members (senior project engineer, project engineers, superintendents, and field office coordinator). Mentor, develop and train project engineers for fast-paced growth. Maintain detailed/hands-on knowledge of construction project scope. Cost control/billings/collections/change management/cash flows/monthly status reports. Act as key point of contact with owner and architect. Challenge and support jobsite and self-perform work team. Accountable for project completion and financials, critical success factors, and customer satisfaction results. Coordinate and manage the execution of planning and scheduling of projects. Organize the duties of other engineers, field office coordinator, project accountant and other assigned project staff. This includes providing direction, prioritization, and performance feedback. Work with the superintendent in the implementation of DPR policies and the execution of the project. Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and fire protection system coordination from a cost control and construction perspective. Maintaining quality control to reduce defects and achieve a zero-punch objective. Ensuring the team is working well with each other, and appropriate resources are being utilized.

Must be available to work on projects at various, unanticipated sites throughout the United States.

Minimum education/experience requirements: Bachelor's degree in Civil/Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or in a project engineer-related occupation.

Skill Requirements:

• Position requires at least 2 years of experience in each of the following skills:
• Utilize construction programs like ACC build, plan grid, bim 360, and hammertech in order to plan work and manage trade partners, design team and owner team.
• Perform MEP Coordination using Naviswork 3D model, ACC, Construction drawings, and knowledge of MEP systems in order to achieve commission and start up of systems with no rework.
• Ensure compliance with Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) protocols using hammertech, safety reports, onsite safety orientation in order to raise awareness of a safe working environment and reduce the injury ratio in the job sites to achieve an incident free project. 
• Perform procurement management using material tracking log, schedule, and email communication in order to effectively manage the procurement during the life cycle of the project. 
• Perform cost control by using CMIC to create budgets and monthly status reports in order to recognize areas of risk for fee erosion and opportunities for fee enhancement.
• Demonstrate progressive leadership using communication, coaching sessions, and planning sessions in order to mentor and develop new team member and trade partners.
• Demonstrate quality focus by participating, developing, and monitoring quality assurance programs in order to achieve zero rework.
