Purpose:
The HEOR and Pricing Manager plays a pivotal role in advancing the strategic objectives of BMS Mexico's portfolio. By collaborating closely with the Strategy & Pricing Senior Manager, this position supports the development and execution of strategies across both public and private markets. As a subject-matter expert in Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) and Pricing, the manager's primary responsibilities include designing, developing, and overseeing HEOR studies for submission to the Mexican Health Technology Assessment body (Consejo de Salubridad) and federal institutions, as well as generating evidence to underpin strategic initiatives.

Additionally, the HEOR and Pricing Manager contributes significantly to the formulation and supervision of pricing proposals throughout the entire product lifecycle of BMS Mexico's portfolio. The role demands comprehensive knowledge in systematic literature reviews, meta-analyses, predictive modeling, cost-effectiveness analyses, budget impact models, and a thorough understanding of Mexican HTA and payer requirements. These competencies are essential to effectively coordinate and propose strategic approaches in collaboration with the Strategy & Pricing Senior Manager, ultimately supporting the overarching goals of the organization.

Critical Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and oversee HEOR studies to facilitate their submission to the Mexican Health Technology Assessment body (Consejo de Salubridad General), federal institutions, and ensure evidence generation to bolster strategic initiatives.
  • Contribute to formulating and implementing pricing proposals for the BMS Mexico portfolio, ensuring alignment throughout the entire product life cycle.
  • Collaborate with the Strategy & Pricing Senior Manager to coordinate and propose strategic approaches, leveraging predictive modeling, cost-effectiveness models, and budget impact models to support decision-making processes and optimize the pricing strategy.
  • Stay informed on Mexican HTA and payer requirements to guide and influence strategic decisions effectively.
  • Understand BMS’ portfolio, profitability objectives, customer profiles, and the business environment to create effective HEOR and Pricing proposals.
  • Foster close collaboration with Strategy & Pricing Sr manager to ensure an integrated access plan with clear assumptions, risks and opportunities to optimize the effective access of the BMS pipeline.
  • Establish close communication with Worldwide HEOR contacts to leverage latest assets and ensuring alignment to global strategy and BMS policies.
  • Develop training programs for the access-field team on HEOR and Access topics.
  • Collaborate effectively with researchers, vendors and HEOR community to incorporate the appropriate latest trends on health technology assessments projects.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant scientific experience in a clinical setting or within the pharmaceutical industry. A minimum of 3 years’ experience in HEOR & Pricing and/or Market Access is strongly advised.
  • High sense of responsibility, ethics, and transparency in all work-related activities.
  • Graduate degree required in health science, health economy, or other relevant fields connected with HEOR
  • Strong knowledge in systematic literature review, meta-analysis, predictive modeling, cost-effectiveness analyses, and budget impact analyses.
  • Familiarity with the requirements of Mexican HTA and payer systems.
  • Ability to understand, interpret, and make recommendations concerning the evolving Mexican market and HTA assessments.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Previous experience overseeing projects with the ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
  • Advanced degree in health science with strong scientific skills.
  • Understanding of statistical methods and tests.
  • Ability to communicate in English
