Hi, I’m John, Chief Revenue Officer at Customer.io. I’m looking for a passionate and experienced Sr Sales Manager, to join our team. About the Role

As a Sr Sales Manager at Customer.io, you will be responsible for leading a team of 6 Account Executives (AEs) to achieve and exceed sales targets. You will play a key role in shaping our sales strategy, fostering a growth-oriented team culture, and driving consistent revenue growth.

Some Things You’ll Do:

Team Leadership & Development:

- Recruit, train, and mentor a team of 6 AEs to ensure they meet and exceed their sales targets.
- Conduct regular one-on-one meetings and performance reviews to provide constructive feedback and set clear, achievable objectives.
- Create a positive and collaborative team environment that encourages professional growth and high morale.

Sales Strategy & Execution:

- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to drive high-volume and high-velocity deals, as well as complex upper mid-market opportunities.
- Lead weekly pipeline review sessions to ensure accurate forecasting and CRM data integrity.
- Utilize and enforce the MEDDICC sales qualification methodology to streamline the sales process.

Collaboration & Process Improvement:

- Work closely with Sales Leadership, Sales Operations, Solutions Architects, and Marketing to continuously improve sales processes and materials.
- Share best practices with other Sales Managers and collaborate on strategies to overcome common challenges.
- Participate in cross-functional initiatives to enhance overall sales effectiveness.

Performance Tracking & Feedback:

- Monitor team performance metrics and identify areas for improvement.
- Provide ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance team skills and knowledge.
- Plan and coordinate team travel and events to foster team cohesion and culture.

What we’re looking for:

- 7-10 years of total work experience, with at least 3-5 years in a sales management or team lead role, preferably within the Marketing Technology SaaS industry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of MEDDICC sales qualification methodology is a plus.
- Ability to provide and receive constructive feedback effectively.
- Strong leadership and coaching skills with a focus on team development.
- Skill in maintaining a high level of team engagement and motivation.
- Proven experience in establishing strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and contributing to a collaborative sales environment.

We are offering a salary of $132,500 base + $132,500 variable = $265,000 USD OTE (or equivalent in local currency), subject to market rate adjustment.
