User Experience Designer III

Similarly, at Insurtech our goal is to deliver peace of mind to every traveler, everywhere and we do that by offering personalized insurance and fintech products to our travelers in context of their trip. Ours is a multiple cultural team with a large presence across India, Jordan and US, which also gives you an opportunity to work with our amazing global teams and solve complex user problems collectively with them. The insurtech industry is evolving globally and there is a massive scope of experience and tech lead innovation in this area. And hence, this team is in it’s growth spurt phase where you will play a very key role in contributing to experience innovation and growth that we are gearing up for in the coming 3 years.

A User Experience Designer III in EG is focused on solving complex traveler problems throughout the E2E traveler journey, which spans across our multiple line of business, brands and geos. At Insurtech, you would be responsible for creating traveler led experience solutions which are deeply embedded in the experiences of our shopping as well as the post-purchase journeys and design them keeping scalability and the nuances Insurtech user needs in mind. In your role, you would be responsible for partnering deeply with our product, research, analytics and ML teams to come up with innovative and differentiating Insurtech experiences for our global travelers

In this role, you will:

  • Contributes a variety of design solution proposals and articulates how solutions meet
  • user needs, satisfy business goals, and adhere to tech constraints
  • Influences the development of roadmap, allowing for exploratory and forward-
  • thinking design work, and supports the sizing and prioritization of items in the roadmap
  • Independently develops solutions that integrate an appropriate balance of solving user needs
  • and meeting business requirements
  • Collaborates with PMs to uncover opportunities to enhance XDs business impact
  • by observing market trends and reviewing customer feedback
  • Conducts thorough competitor audits to understand how competitors are addressing
  • customer needs
  • Develops ability to identify research needs and conducts unmoderated user testing with
  • diverse user groups for thorough evaluation
  • Develops ability to identify and obtain missing pieces of information to ensure decisions are appropriately informed
  • Works with cross-functional teams to apply insights to the iterative design process,
  • considering user needs, business priorities, and technical constraints
  • Designs and articulates comprehensive end-to-end user flows and defines connections between other products and functions to enhance user experience and product usability
  • Proactively ensures design solutions are compatible with accessibility technologies
  • (e.g., alt text, captions, screen readers) and includes detailed accessibility annotations in
  • polished design specs
  • Develops ability to quickly generate low and high-fidelity designs that describe and clarify complex design challenges or solution
  • Refines artifacts to optimize attention, comprehension, and emotional resonance; becomes strong in 2 core sills, capable in 2 others
  • Produces polished design specs and annotations for developers, clearly articulates
  • the key technical constraints impacting designs, and develops ability to make
  • sound technical judgements in design decisions
  • Actively Identifies, and disseminates advanced design tools and industry
  • trends across the XD group
  • Identifies gaps in design system and proposes new solutions, components, and processes as necessary
  • Considers the broader system of the experience touchpoints as well as the impacts and
  • constraints of different methodologies and approaches
  • Drives timely execution and review processes for multiple or complex projects and
  • demonstrates strong organizational skills and rigor
  • Develops narratives tailored to respective audiences and disseminated across
  • appropriate channels to facilitate inclusive and effective decision-making, and to drive consensus
  • Provides thoughtful and constructive feedback to XD coworkers and cross-functional peers while conscientiously implementing received feedback

Experience and qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in related fields (Design, Human – Computer Interaction, User Experience or similar ); or equivalent related professional experience
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in field of design
  • A portfolio to showcase your User Experience Design expertise
  • Experience working in e-commerce space
  • Proficient in working with design systems and contributions to design system is a plus
  • Experience in designing micro interactions and motion design
  • Good verbal communication skills. Proficient in strategy, planning and conducting workshops etc.
  • Proven experience working through a product cycle from inception to release, leading work under tight deadlines
  • Track record of successfully leading critical projects, managing cross company coordination and communication
  • Self-motivated Individual, ready to work in fast paced environment
