Jr. QA Analyst

As a Jr. Quality Assurance Analyst, you will be responsible for testing our products in order to ensure they are of high quality and provide a good user experience. You will also work closely with development teams to review requirements and create test plans. This role reports into the Senior Manager of Software Development (QA). The ideal candidate must have strong knowledge of software development lifecycle methodologies such as Agile/Scrum, along with solid understanding of product development best practices.


About the Role:

  • Participate in designing Test Strategy and Test Plans
  • Identify areas where automated tests can improve overall testing efficiency and effectiveness
  • Create automated scripts using tools like Selenium or Cypress
  • Manual testing of Web applications across multiple browsers and platforms
  • Conduct regular code reviews and contribute to improvements
  • Provide regular status updates on progress
  • Work collaboratively with team members
  • Gather clients requirements

About You:

  • BS degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 2 years+ experience as a QA Engineer
  • Experience working with Web technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, JSON, AJAX
  • Knowledge of manual testing tools like Postman
  • Desirable experience with automated testing frameworks like Selenium or Cypress
  • Experience working in an Agile environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written
  • Knowledge of version control systems like Git
  • Experience working with different types of databases such as MySQL, Oracle, MongoDB, etc.
  • Excellent knowledge of software quality assurance methodologies and best practices
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Willing to come to the office twice a week in Mexico City.
