Job Description:

We’re looking for an Operational Risk Manager to join us here at MBPS. In this role, you are responsible for managing a team that provides support to the Global Wealth Asset Management Risk Groups in the effective management of Operational Risks.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Risk Management

  • Oversee risk and control self-assessments, offering recommendations for improvements.

  • Track and monitor risks, collaborating with various teams for corrective action plans.

People Management

  • Drive team achievement towards organizational goals and objectives.

  • Manage hiring, compensation, promotions, and development of team members.

Project/Initiatives Lead

  • Act as project manager for business unit initiatives, focusing on implementation and tracking.

  • Support key transformation strategies and improve reporting processes.

  • Re-engineer processes to enhance consistency and efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Seven (7)+ years in Operational Risk Management with a focus on risk controls, monitoring, and reporting.

  • Certification from a recognized global risk management body is preferred

  • Strong understanding of risk management tools and methodologies.

  • Experience in related fields such as operations management, finance, or compliance.

  • Knowledge of investment management and related products.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate.

  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
