Yahoo is seeking a strategic and results-driven Vice President of Product for our Consumer Monetization platform. This pivotal role requires a visionary leader who will be responsible for setting the future product vision and strategy, managing a world-class team, and identifying new opportunities to drive monetization across Yahoo's consumer properties.

As the Vice President of Product, they will play a crucial role in shaping the direction of Yahoo's Consumer Monetization platform. They will be tasked with developing and executing a comprehensive product strategy that aligns with the company's overall business objectives. This includes defining the product roadmap, setting strategic objectives, and establishing a high-level vision that will guide the team towards achieving their goals.

In this role, they will lead a team of talented product managers and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, marketing, and sales, to ensure the successful delivery of innovative products that meet the needs of our users and drive revenue growth. They will be responsible for fostering a culture of excellence within the product team, encouraging innovation, and ensuring that best practices are followed throughout the product development lifecycle.

The Vice President of Product will also be responsible for identifying new monetization opportunities and optimizing existing offerings to maximize revenue. They will need to stay ahead of industry trends and anticipate changes in the competitive landscape to ensure that Yahoo remains at the forefront of the digital advertising space. This includes leveraging data and research to inform product decisions and continuously improving the user experience to drive customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Overall, this role requires a dynamic and experienced leader who can influence at the executive level, inspire their team, and drive the success of Yahoo's Consumer Monetization platform. They will be a key driver in transforming Yahoo's monetization strategy to meet evolving market dynamics and user expectations, ultimately contributing to the company's long-term growth and success.

Responsibilities

  • Define and drive the long-term product strategy for Yahoo’s Consumer Monetization platform, including roadmap, strategic objectives, high-level vision, and goals.

  • Collaborate with C-suite executives, senior leadership, and cross-functional partners to align monetization goals.

  • Lead the full product lifecycle across defined monetization product verticals, from ideation to delivery.

  • Evangelize objectives and requirements across Yahoo to position the product for success.

  • Establish product best practices to unlock higher-value innovation.

  • Position the product team as a key driver of high-velocity product success.

  • Institute and oversee a robust and scalable product management framework.

  • Work closely with engineering, yield, revenue operations, and data teams to design and implement best-in-class products.

  • Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing product team.

  • Focus on end-to-end consumer experiences to improve customer satisfaction.

  • Anticipate changes in monetization, yield, and the competitive landscape to refine products and build new features.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of openRTB, header bidding, prebid, Google Ad Manager, SSPs, DSPs, DMPs, cleanrooms, and other modern digital advertising technology.

  • Experience leading consumer product organizations from strategy to launch.

  • Strong track record of leading complex projects and delivering product roadmaps.

  • Ability to prioritize competing opportunities and manage conflict.

  • Demonstrated leadership within product management, ideally in a large-scale consumer company.

  • Experience scaling product management teams and retaining high-performing talent.

  • Team-first mentality with a willingness to work cross-functionally to ensure flawless execution.

  • Customer-focused, organized, data-driven mindset.

  • Strong understanding of product metrics, setting KPIs and OKRs.

Extra Credit

  • Direct experience at a major SSP, DSP, or mass media publisher.

The compensation for this position ranges from $253,050.00 - $469,950.00/yr and will vary depending on factors such as your location, skills and experience. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions, in addition to equity incentives.
