The Investment Product Specialist Senior is a role focused on supporting the growth and ongoing success of Capital Group’s (CG’s) suite of Public-Private Solutions.  This position will require collaboration across asset classes, investment teams, and sales teams, as well as Capital Group’s Alternatives partners.  The Investment Product Manager will be responsible for developing market and competitor insights, building product messaging, and equipping sales teams with the commentary and analysis needed to engage investors and successfully represent our strategies.  CG’s initial Public-Private Solutions are focused on private credit and public fixed income, and we expect to expand into other asset classes.

Day to day you will:

  • Develop a deep understanding of CG’s public and private strategies and the underlying markets in collaboration with Investment Directors (client-facing PMs)

  • Serve as the primary resource to various internal groups (e.g., sales) and clients regarding product and investment strategy inquiries

  • Build processes that draw on the resources of Capital Group and external Alternatives partner firms.  Building relationships across teams and firms will be critical to the role

  • Write commentary and perform analysis to support client inquiries and regular strategy servicing

  • Own the regular reporting required to support Capital Group’s suite of public and private solutions

  • Conduct periodic reviews of product information in Request for Proposal responses and various third-party databases; provide net new responses as needed

  • Publish insights on market events and competitor updates for internal and external audiences with a focus on the public and private markets

  • Perform original research on public and private markets to support messaging and thought leadership

  • Deliver training on public and private markets as well as CG’s offerings to different parts of the organization including sales

  • You may have a suggested minimum 5 years of experience in private credit, broader alternatives, and/or fixed income investment-related roles

  • You demonstrate in-depth knowledge of investment strategies, sales and marketing approaches, and services offered by buy-side investment managers

  • You exhibit knowledge in industry practices and trends and demonstrate ability to apply this knowledge to help promote and defend CG investment services

  • You demonstrate effective written and oral communication skills, including the ability to adapt messaging to various audiences, including senior business leaders and clients

  • You have the ability to develop both product and project plans with little direction and to execute in a collaborative manner with attention to detail

  • You have strong analytical skills with the ability to develop recommendations and support assertions with relevant quantitative and qualitative data

  • You demonstrate initiative by identifying issues and recommending solutions

  • You demonstrate intellectual curiosity and can collaborate as part of a team

  • Bachelor’s degree required; CFA charter a plus

  • FINRA licenses preferred (SIE, 7, 66) or willing to obtain

In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital’s annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
