The Analyst reports directly to the Fund Controller and will support the ongoing management of Apollo funds across several strategies, including equity and credit secondaries, direct origination and asset backed finance. This individual will be tasked with the quality execution of the day-to-day core accounting responsibilities, driving improvements in processes and reporting, and engaging in problem-solving. We are seeking a talented and dedicated professional with the ability to be part of a versatile team and a strong desire to learn and develop in their career.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Assist with month-end and quarter-end close processes, including review of NAV packages with external fund administrators. Maintain shadow books utilizing internal accounting system.

  • Analyze profit and loss and Fund performance on a monthly basis

  • Assist with corporate and regulatory reporting requirements for 1940 Act Funds, including N-CSR, N-PORT and N-CEN SEC filings

  • Review external facing marketing materials

  • Assist with presentation of quarterly board reporting

  • Assist with annual audits and provide information for tax preparation

  • Reconcile capital activity with transfer agent and Apollo wealth team

  • Analyze and prepare expense allocations and budgets between multiple Fund entities

  • Prepare and maintaining wire transfer requests

  • Identify and analyze daily cash activity for various fund entities

  • Verify portfolio pricing to internal model and third-party sources

  • Assist with managing short- and long-term Fund liquidity

  • Execute on ad-hoc special projects from senior leaders

Qualifications & Experience

  • CPA preferred, 2-3 years relevant fund accounting/public accounting work experience

  • Closed-end registered investment company experience preferred but not required

  • Strong U.S. GAAP technical accounting expertise

  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills with clear oral and written communication skills

  • Ability to work well in a team environment, escalate issues as necessary, and multi-task/prioritize competing demands

  • Ability to juggle more than one project at a time and work in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong attention to detail and effective organizational skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required. Experience with automation tools/technology background is a plus

Pay Range

85,000 - 110,000

The base salary range for this position is listed above. This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus based on personal, team, and Firm performance. Compensation ranges are based on several factors including job function, level, and geographic location. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed here.
