Summary of Job Duties:

The Registered Nurse will provide worker's compensation coordination of care for patients and their employers. This professional nursing role will require the ability to coordinate care for patients, triage patients, and work collaboratively with clinic providers, fellows, and staff. Requires the ability to effectively work with patient referral sources, facilitate appointments, coordinate transitions of care, and provide patient education on complex conditions. The RN will work with the individual patient, their families, and providers of care to develop and implement individual health plans.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program with an Associate's Degree, Nursing Diploma, Bachelor's in Nursing, or Master's in Nursing ;

• Valid RN License;

• Minimum of one (1) year Registered Nursing experience.

Additional Information:

Responsibilities:

• Collects and documents assessment data from patients in line with UAMS standards to inform care decisions.

• Develops individualized Plans of Care (POCs) using assessment data, adhering to clinic protocols.

• Evaluates patient progress toward desired outcomes, ensuring care adjustments are made when needed.

• Administers medications and provide medication-related education to patients and families in compliance with standards and regulations.

• Provides patient and family education and support discharge planning, helping ensure understanding and appropriate follow-through.

• Promotes evidence-based nursing practices, integrating the best available evidence into daily clinical care.

• Collaborates and communicates effectively with nursing colleagues, interdisciplinary teams, providers, and leadership to coordinate care.

• Documents care appropriately and report variances, ensuring proper medical record-keeping and notifying team members of any irregularities.

• May perform other duties as assigned.
