As the Training & Education Program Manager for the Customer Experience Program (CEP), you will be a key driver in shaping and delivering exceptional customer experiences for Spine and Cranial healthcare professionals. In this strategic role, you’ll collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Medical Education, and Physician Relations to design and implement impactful programs that provide best-in-class learning and engagement opportunities. These initiatives will be tightly aligned with the core business objectives of the Cranial and Spinal Technologies (CST) operating unit.

You’ll lead efforts to continuously improve program quality and effectiveness, applying best practices to optimize team performance and resource utilization. Your work will directly support our mission to deliver connected, consistent customer experiences that elevate awareness of our technologies and procedural solutions, foster advocacy within the CST ecosystem, and build strong, strategic relationships through meaningful, customer-centric interactions.

This position sits within the Strategic Partnerships team and reports to the Sr. Manager of Medical Education.  In this highly collaborative role, you will work in tandem with cross-functional team members on the evolution and execution of the overarching CEP strategy.  As a trusted partner, our team collaborates to deliver a best-in-class customer experience and culture for surgeons customers and strategic targets throughout the CST ecosystem.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • Manages all aspects of the Customer Experience Program from partnering with field representatives on the strategic prioritization of surgeon customers to scheduling customer visits and planning their customized experience.

  • Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of surgeon events, ensuring the program is executed to plan and on schedule to deliver the best possible experience for the customer.

  • Ensure that all activities, presentations, and demonstrations meet the specific objectives set by the visiting surgeon and their sales representatives.

  • Address and fulfill any special requests from visiting surgeons or their guests, ensuring a tailored and exceptional experience.

  • Ensures program(s) meets company and customer objectives.

  • Serve as the primary liaison for all event-related details, including coordinating with the surgeon’s team, internal staff, and other stakeholders to meet the customers goals.

  • Maintains communication with field customers to ensure effectiveness of program planning.

  • Ensure the event delivers on the specific objectives outlined by the visiting surgeon, whether that be exploring new technology, training staff, or discussing surgical techniques and innovations.

  • Promote programs / resources to internal and external stakeholders and customers

  • Maintain project management tracking for program activities relevant to compliance, logistics, budget, and metrics. Utilize data systems (i.e., CVENT, PRM, PowerBi, etc.) to track program metrics and report out.

  • Ability to travel approximately 20%

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.

Nice to Have

  •  Medical device and/or healthcare experience.

  • Experience in supporting or planning education programs for medical device industry.

  • Experience working with Healthcare Professionals (HCP's), Marketing, and Sales.

  • Project/Program management experience, organizational skillset, and ability to meet timelines.

  • Demonstrate ability to build and maintain positive relationships with a diverse set of customers as well as peers and colleagues across organizational levels.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$110,400.00 - $165,600.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).

The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20+ hours per week: Health, Dental and vision insurance, Health Savings Account, Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, Life insurance, Long-term disability leave, Dependent daycare spending account, Tuition assistance/reimbursement, and Simple Steps (global well-being program).

Regular employees are those who are not temporary, such as interns.  Temporary employees are eligible for paid sick time, as required under applicable state law, and the Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Please note some of the above benefits may not apply to workers in Puerto Rico.
