About the Role:

The role: Data Engineer 


Data Engineer Position Profile: Osttra's AI & Analytics team is seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer with 3-5 years of experience to join our growing team in Stockholm, Sweden. You will play a critical role in building and maintaining our data platform in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), which supports a wide range of AI and BI initiatives across the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of data engineering principles and hands-on experience with GCP and Python.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using GCP services (BigQuery, Cloud Run, Google Cloud Storage, etc.)
  • Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand data requirements and deliver high-quality data solutions
  • Implement data quality checks and monitoring to ensure data accuracy and reliability
  • Optimise data processing for efficiency and cost-effectiveness
  • Contribute to the development of our overall data architecture and strategy
  • Design and implement infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform

What We're Looking For:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in data engineering, with a focus on GCP
  • Experience with IaC and provisioning of infrastructure as code in a cloud environment.
  • Strong proficiency in Python and SQL
  • Experience with data modelling, Container platforms, ETL/ELT processes, and data warehousing
  • Familiarity with machine learning concepts and workflows is a plus
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in using version control systems (e.g., Git), CI/CD pipelines, and testing frameworks
  • Demonstrated interest or experience in financial markets
