Job Description:

This position supervises many of the daily activities for an account, department, or station within a warehouse operation. The role ensures performance goals are met, maintains inventory accuracy, adheres to quality standards, and effectively manages staff. It oversees employees responsible for inbound flow, inventory control, and outbound flow activities. Additionally, this position manages operational efficiency and ensures the timely completion of work in the assigned operational area. 

 

Job Title: Distribution Supervisor I 

Job Type: Full-Time / Permanent / On-site

Workdays: This position is expected to work at least five (5) consecutive days per week.  

Shift Hours: This position requires Full-Time availability during operational days. 

Shift Duration: 8 hours a day (requires flexibility with Start and Finish time) 

Work Location: 4150 MAINWAY BURLINGTON, ON L7L 0A6

Salary Range: $4.650 to $5.232 monthly 

 
Key Responsibilities and Duties 

  • Ensure proper flow of goods into and out of the warehouse. 

  • Schedule and allocate work to employees to ensure orders are picked, packed, and shipped efficiently. 

  • Manage and establish working relationships with vendors (e.g., suppliers, consultants, contractors). 

  • Participate in customer meetings. 

  • Leverage customer knowledge to identify new business development opportunities. 

  • Manage budgets and apply accounting processes; determine required resources, allocate funds, monitor expenditures against budget targets, and resolve discrepancies. 

  • Ensure returns are checked and restocked. 

  • Investigate and resolve shipment discrepancies. 

  • Maintain employee attendance records. 

  • Ensure compliance with employment standards legislation. 

  • Participate in improving warehouse operational efficiency and oversee warehouse housekeeping (e.g., safety, security, equipment maintenance, layout, stocking, and inventory control of warehouse materials). 

 

Requirements 

  • 1 to 2 years of warehouse related experience – Required  

  • Management experience – Required 

  • Intermediate computer skills: Microsoft Office – Required

  • Previous experience in a technology-based radio frequency environment – Preferred 

  • Bachelor's degree or International equivalent – Preferred 

  • Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and workers’ compensation processes. 

  • Strong knowledge of legal, regulatory, and safety compliance requirements to effectively reduce organizational risk. 

  • Strong knowledge of supply chain and logistics principles related to the manufacturing, movement, and distribution of products. 

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. 

  • Problem-solving and multitask skills 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
