About the role
Rankin Court Treatment Centre (RCTC) provides outpatient opioid pharmacotherapy treatment, 7 days per week, and is a part of the Alcohol and Drug Service (ADS) at St Vincent's.
The ADS consists of 11 clinical units including but not limited to: Alcohol and Drug Information Service (ADIS – state-wide telephone service), Stimulant Services, Outpatients, Alcohol and Drug Hospital Liaison, Psychiatric and Non-prescription Drug and Alcohol Unit (PANDA) Unit, Gorman Unit (inpatient detox).
Deliver safe medication administration, comprehensive assessments and person-centred care coordination to support recovery.
Contribute to quality improvement, shared care initiatives and service development within a supportive Alcohol and Drug Service.
About you
Currently registered as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the Australian Health Professionals Regulation Agency
Demonstrated ability to work within a multidisciplinary drug and alcohol team, using high-level communication and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated clinical experience in drug and alcohol services, preferably within an Opioid Treatment Program, with the ability to integrate theoretical knowledge, clinical assessment, critical thinking and evidence-based practice in the care of people experiencing substance use disorders.
Demonstrated experience in care coordination and case management for clients with complex drug and alcohol, mental health, physical health and psychosocial needs, including assessment, risk management, treatment planning, referral, advocacy and multidisciplinary follow-up.
Demonstrated effective time management and the ability to prioritise competing responsibilities within a complex, high-volume outpatient drug and alcohol service.
